CABOT SIL GRY WEATHERING STAIN

A uniquely formulated semi-transparent oil stain that turns the wood to a soft, natural silver gray. If an enhanced weathered driftwood gray tone is desired at initial application, mix 50/50 with Cabot bleaching oil. Use on exterior wood that has not been previously treated or on wood previously treated with bleaching oil or weathering stain. Ideal on siding, shingles, shakes, fences, and rails, or any type of uncoated lumber. Not recommended for trim or decking. Gallon unit. Covers approximately 400 to 600 Sq. Ft. on smooth surfaces, or 150 to 250 Sq. Ft. on rough surfaces, per gallon. Specially formulated to meet OTC restrictions in New England states.

Use on exterior wood that has not been previously treated or wood previously treated with bleaching oil or weathering stain. Ideal on siding, shingles, shakes, fences, rails, and on any type of uncoated lumber. Not recommended for trim or decking. If you desire an enhanced gray tone immediately use a 50/50 mixture of Cabot weathering stain, silver gray. It produces a self-protecting finish and achieves a uniform weathered look within 6 to 12 months. Approximate coverage on smooth, new wood: 400 sq. ft. to 600 sq. ft. per gallon, on rough new wood: 150 to 300 sq. ft. per gallon. VOC compliant in most areas.
